Favorite Books and authors

J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit
​     I really love these books because of the adventure, the characters, it being of the outdoor quality- the adventure happens mostly in nature- and because it is well-written.    

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
     This book definitely changed me.  It is a beautiful story, also about adventure.  There is wisdom to it and you learn something from it.  It helped me along my path.    
The Journey Home by Lee Carroll
     This is a great book about a character that meets angels.  He learns lessons from his life by being shown his life.  The angels help him.  The character, Michael, also has to overcome an obstacle.  
Seth Speaks (and others) by Jane Roberts
     There is lots of great wisdom in this book.  Much of it is out-of-the-box it gets you thinking and seeing history and yourself in a different way.  
Gaia Speaks (and more) by Pepper Lewis
     There is lots of great wisdom and information in this book.

Tao de Ching by Laozi
The Dhammapada by The Buddha
Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
     It is about a boy and his dogs.  A great adventure tale.
The Art of Happiness by the 14th Dalia Lama
Watership Down by Richard Adams
     A rabbit tale and adventure.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull by  Richard Bach
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson
     This book inspired me to hike the Appalachian Trail.
George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series
The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche
